1.  FRANK MASIE¹ MARCHANT was born 1850, and died 1925.  He married EMILY LOUISA WILKINS.  She was born February 29, 1860, and died 1945. In 1870 Frank worked for the Bath Stone Company in Somerset. In 1880 the family home was in Acton, West London.

2.  JOSEPH FRANK² MARCHANT (FRANK MASIE¹) know as ‘Frank’ was born April 9, 1879, and died August 28, 1955.  He married GEORGINA HILDA BEATON September 2, 1905, daughter of SAMUEL BEATON and HANNAH BARTLETT.  She was born December 5, 1878, and died December 28, 1944.

3.  WALTER STUART² MARCHANT (FRANK MASIE¹) was born 1882.  He married ELIZABETH (LIZZIE) SPENCER DARLING.  Walter served in the 1^st WW and suffered from being gassed.

4.  STANLEY² MARCHANT (FRANK MASIE¹) was born 1883, and died 1949.  He married HILDA.  In 1914 Stanley became organ professor at the Royal Academy of Music, in 1927 Choral Master and Organist of St Paul’s Cathedral, and in 1936 Principal of the Royal Academy of Music. He was also Chairman of the Royal School of Church Music and Master of the Worshipful Company of Musicians. Church compositions include: Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis in C (1915), Te Deum in D (1930) and Te Deum in G (1935), anthem ‘Judge Eternal’. Secular compositions include ‘Nonsense Songs’. He was Knighted abt 1938, and was buried on March 7, 1949, St Pauls Cathedral, London.

5.  EVA² MARCHANT (FRANK MASIE¹) was born Abt. 1885, and died Abt. 1950.  She married TOM.

6.  HORACE LANCELOT² MARCHANT (FRANK MASIE¹) was born 1890 in West London, and died 1974.  He married (1) MILDRED ALDERTON.  She was born 1891, and died April 27, 1999 in Newcastle.  He married (2) DORTHY CROWTHER.  She died 1993. Horace owned a music shop in Folkestone, Kent. Lived in Beattie road, Folkestone. Later lived in Sandhurst, Kent where he was organist of St Nicholas church. Buried in Sandhurst.

7.  LILLIAN MARY² MARCHANT (FRANK MASIE¹) was born November 14, 1895, and died July 10, 1955.  She married JAMES HENRY BEGENT, son of HENRY BEGENT and HANNAH BARTLETT. She taught piano at the family home in Acton. Jim Begent was born November 11, 1893, and died July 7, 1955. Jim Begent served in the RND in the 1stWW and later worked for the Midland Bank. Place of residence from 1926 was Ewell, Surrey

8.  HILDA EVA³ MARCHANT (JOSEPH FRANK², FRANK MASIE¹) was born March 17, 1906, and died Abt. 1973.  She married JOHN CHRISTENSEN 1940.  He died 1994.

9.  KATHLEEN (MIKE) WINIFRED³ MARCHANT (JOSEPH FRANK², FRANK MASIE¹) was born August 12, 1911, and died January 24, 1998.  She married STANLEY ROBERT EADE September 10, 1936.  He was born September 24, 1906, and died October 18, 1994. Stanley was a director of GEC Lighting Company. Place of residence Leicestershire.

10.  JOAN³ MARCHANT (HORACE LANCELOT², FRANK MASIE¹) was born 1916.  She married ROBERT DAVIDSON. He died abt.1970. Bob served in the Royal Navy in 2^nd WW and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Was skipper of BYMS 2075 in the Eastern Mediterranean in 1944 with John Begent though whom he met Jo Marchant. Bob was later a school master.

11.  JOHN BARTLETT³ BEGENT (LILLIAN MARY² MARCHANT, FRANK MASIE¹) was born May 6, 1925 in Kensington, London, and died July 10, 1994 in Ewell, Surrey.  He married MARGARET AMY SMERDON October 8, 1949 in Ealing, daughter of RONALD SMERDON and NORAH APPLEBY.  She was born October 13, 1925 in London, and died April 20, 1992 in Ewell, Surrey. John served in the RNVR 1943 – 46, was in the Colonial service in W. Africa (Ghana)1948 –1960 and worked for the BBC 1960 – 1985. Buried at St Mary’s, Ewell, Surrey.
